Painted with the celebration of Spring and the annual tulip festival in Holland, Michigan , in mind!

Glowing light filters over the blooms in this loose, flowing watercolor by Carrie. Each bloom is sculpted to accentuate the lacey, delicate beauty of this tulip variety, popularly named 'Parrot Tulips'. Colors are warm and glowing and cross a broad spectrum of hues including browns, golds, reds, and olive greens making this piece versatile for use in home and office decor.

Giclees are produced on Carrie's favorite paper, Hanamuhle Torcheon which is textured like the original watercolor paper she uses. Achival acrylic inks are utilize to create a reproduction that is very hard to distinguish from the original. (There is also an offering of this piece in a special edition celebrating the May tulips in Holland, Michigan. These are printed on a smooth, ultra matte paper and have an additional border and text added.)
